100 Women Who Care Of Omaha recently selected and awarded PII as their quarterly recipient.
Because of their intentional donations we will be able to throw a Winter land Emporium event. Our hopes are to close the gap so that no kiddo has to go a holiday season with out receiving a holiday gift.
Period poverty refers to a lack of access to menstrual products, sanitation facilities, and adequate education. This widespread issue affects an estimated 500 million people worldwide. Those experiencing period poverty may have mental health challenges and physical health risks.
In Nebraska, 1 in 6 women and girls between the age of 12 and 44 lives below the Federal Poverty Line. 1 in 4 teens in the US has missed class due to lack of access to period supplies.
